Give 

  1. Donate to our chapter's World Vision efforts: Our online World Vision donation site  is: austin.womenofvision.org/give.   Important Note: in order to ensure your donation is tied to WOV Austin, please stay on the website above (vs exploring the World Vision site) or the WOV Austin 'source code' will change. Thank you for your support!
    • Prefer to donate by phone? Call World Vision's WOV Helpdesk at 1.877.968.4968 Monday-Friday, 10am – 8pm, Central Time
    • Prefer to write a check? This is a LINK to a 2-pg PDF of our donation form. After completing all fields, please mail a check made out to "World Vision/WOV" with "WOV Austin" in the memo line to: WOV Austin Treasurer, 1501 Anthony Ct, Cedar Park, 78613. 
    • World Vision is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit. Its federal ID from the IRS is 95-1922279.  Generally, World Vision will mail a receipt to the donor within two to three weeks.
  2. Memorials/Honorariums: You or your family member may contact our treasurer to make a donation in honor or memory of a loved one. A card of recognition can be sent if requested. Contact Cathy at wovaustin@gmail.com regarding next steps. 
  3. Honorariums can also be done online through World Vision's gift catalog HERE. For example, you can honor a loved one at Christmastime by sending a goat or chicken to a family in need overseas -- not only to provide food for that family but also add to their income as they sell the excess milk and eggs in their community. During checkout, you'll have the opportunity to send a card to your loved one to let them know of the gift.
  4. Corporate Gift Matches and Stock Gifts: please contact Cathy at wovaustin@gmail.com for specific instructions pertaining to these gift types. Alternatively, you can call World Vision's WOV Helpdesk at 1.877.968.4968 Monday-Friday, 10am – 8pm, Central Time.

Act 

  1. We volunteer through World Vision's grassroots advocacy team. To join our team of advocates, subscribe on this website, worldvisionadvocacy.org. If you're able, please email our Austin advocacy co-chairs, Fiona & Susan, at wovaustin@gmail.com so we can get to know one another.
  2. We support EqualExchange.coop products (fair trade coffee, chocolate, tea, etc). Please look for this brand at your local grocery store or ask the grocery manager to start carrying it. Thank you for using your dollars to vote for shareholder farmers and co-ops around the world! Target, Whole Foods and Natural Grocers often carry an assortment of Equal Exchange coffee, tea and/or chocolate. 
  3. Many of us sponsor children through World Vision. Some of us have even met our sponsored children through Vision Trips which allow us to see God's transformative work firsthand. To sponsor a child in one of our project areas, please email us at wovaustin@gmail.com.
