Thanks to very generous partners and friends, we raised over $50,000 for clean water, sanitation and hygiene projects for Matete, Kenya on Saturday, April 14th! Isn’t God amazing? Thank you for helping us to do our part to help the people of Matete! If you were unable to join us on the 14th but would like to be part of this amazing answer to prayer for the people of Matete, please see the full post ("Read More" link below) for how to contribute!
WASH Project: The overall water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) project in Matete will cost just under $4 million over the next 3.5 years. The project entails drilling 6 wells; protecting natural springs; installing 3 water treatment systems along with latrines, hand-washing stations; providing training (regarding sanitation & hygiene but also special training for those responsible for operating & maintaining the water sources).
Benefit Results: On Sat, April 14th, over 100 guests assembled for our Matete, Kenya brunch & benefit featuring keynote speaker, ReneƩ Stearns. Over $17 thousand was donated for this fiscal year ending Sept 30th. We also have pledges for over $9 thousand for each of the next four years! Praise You God!
