Inaugural Partnership Meeting Nov 12th!

Thank you for an energizing first partner meeting!  While many of you couldn't join us, we know you're with us in this mission of helping women and children -- whole families & communities.  Welcome to our new partners and thank you to our existing partners for enabling our efforts!  If you'd like to see some of the Micro information we saw at the meeting, please see the full post:

You're invited to join our WOV Austin Group Giving page on Micro!  As of Nov 12, 2011, we are funding Maria Guagalupe Martinez Mendez in her retail clothing business.  We have less than 21 days to fund her loan ourselves.  After that, her loan is opened back up to the public-at-large for funding.

If you are interested in participating on our Micro subcommittee with other women interested in microfinance, please contact Fiona at wovaustin at gmail dot com.  We hope to do this 2-4 times a year depending on interest!

It's finally here!  Saturday, Novemeber 12th 10-11:30am in Rm D209 at Bethany UMC, 10010 Anderson Mill RdThis meeting is for existing partners and anyone interested in learning more about Women of Vision (WOV).  Join us on Sat, Nov 12th from 10-11:30am for a brief intro of WOV.  The rest of our time together will focus on Micro, World Vision's micro finance website.

We'll learn about the process of funding a small business loan in a developing country, and at the end of the meeting pick one or two women to fund over the holiday season as a group.  We can even take it back to our families and ask them to support this effort as a gift to us....and it's a gift that keeps on giving!

Lastly, there will be no partnership meeting in December due to the holiday season but we do have a fellowship opportunity at Shoreline Church, the evening of Sunday Dec 4th, The Story Tour.
