Step into Africa! - WOV Austin's Sept 2011 Local Service Project

By the grace of God, many prayers, and much hard work, over 470 Matete children were sponsored the week of September 11th, 2011!!!  God is so good!  Even in the midst of wildfires, our generosity wasn't diminished.  It simply widened to support two communities in need -- one in our backyard plus another halfway around the world in Kenya!  Lord God, bless all those who partnered together to make a difference one child at a time! May this be a reminder that you are alive and working in our world today.  Grant wisdom, discernment, understanding and knowledge to those in charge of allocating the money at World Vision.  May it bear much fruit for your glory and may the enemy be cut off from impeding your work through World Vision and specifically in Kenya & Matete.  Thank you Lord for knitting the Step into Africa partners together for your purposes and thank you for leading over 50 women to WOV Austin through this one event.  May our hearts continue to discern your Holy Spirit and follow wherever you lead!  May those affected by the wildfires & the families of Matete feel your presence. In your son's name we pray, Amen.
Original Post follows:
